Green's Hill Riesling
Wine
Henschke Green's Hill Riesling is grown in the Henschke Adelaide Hills Lenswood Vineyard. Stephen and Prue Henschke purchased the vineyard in 1981.
Thriving on a west facing slope, the vines grow in loam soils and overlook the apple orchards planted by the Green family in 1893, giving rise to the wine's name.
The cool Adelaide Hills climate, with high rainfall and humidity, produces fully ripened grapes with high natural acidity. The wine is fermented in tank and bottled soon after vintage to preserve the fruit's delicate flavours.
Pale gold green, Henschke Green's Hill Riesling has layered citrus flavours, tightly wound acidity and a dry finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
